EMT Training: Initial EMT Basic Training SUMMER DAYTIME CLASSES (6 week course) 900S 

Classes are held Monday thru Thursday.

This intensive program is designed to provide a basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology. It will allow you to better understand signs, symptoms and emergency care. An anatomical and body system approach to physical exams will link conditions to assessment findings. This course will give you knowledge of the presentation of common medical conditions and traumatic injuries encountered in the pre-hospital environment. You will learn how to provide the most efficient and effective emergency care. Graduates of this program will satisfy licensure requirements from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as well as the Connecticut Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Service. 

Prerequisites: Proof that you are at least 16 years of age Proof of TB (PPD) test results within the last year from the clinical end date, Proof of Measles, Mumps & Rubella or Titer Verbal history of Chicken Pox, proof of vaccine or antibody Titer
